Three month old hates his pacifier?

He used to love it but stopped taking them a couple weeks ago so I went out and bought bigger ones from walmart and he doesn't want those either. As soon as i give them to him he spits them out and starts eating his hand. He sucks his fingers all the time. Is this pretty common or is my baby just weird? lol. could he be teething? I checked him earlier to see if I felt bumps but I didn't feel anything. His next Dr. appt is January 30th so it's gonna be awhile. He is also eating 8-9 oz a time during feedings? He was born sept 5 and this is my first child so I am not sure what is normal and what is not normal, any insight?
