Looking for a step by step scenario to dowload a movie (ARES ?)cq burn to DVD by NERO?

I am looking for a step by step info (including which format to use) to download a movie cq burn it to a DVD by NERO in a format which I can play on my big screen TV. I have ARES sharing installed but can of course install other free download sites at your advise. Thanks
