I heard that in those days, young women were pretty much igned husbands, so can anyone shed any light on why Jesus didn't have a wife igned to him? His mother was igned to someone, as was her mother before her, so it just doesn't make sense for Jesus (a Jew) to not have a wife igned to him, especially since he wanted to be a Rabbi (no celebacy laws in Judaism). So can anyone point me in the direction of contemporary accounts as to why Jesus wasn't igned a wife?
